Jenna joined Bacchus as an associate in 2007. Prior to studying law, Jenna worked in the accounting group of a TSX listed issuer and gained business experience in all aspects of corporate governance and internal control.  She currently advises clients on all aspects of corporate governance, including SOX 404 compliance and management reporting on internal controls. During her time at Bacchus, she has assisted clients with listings on the NYSE Alternext US (formerly the American Stock Exchange), enhancing their corporate practices, preparing SOX 404 compliant management reports, and meeting regulatory filing requirements in the US and Canada.

Prior to joining Bacchus, Jenna articled with a solo practitioner in the area of transportation law, and was on secondment with the corporate and securities practice groups of a large Vancouver-based law firm. She also worked as a student Review Officer in the Review Division of WorkSafeBC after completing her second year of law school and reviewed various decisions related to the granting or denial of benefits to employees. Jenna has a background in accounting and finance.

Her main areas of practice are:

  • Initial and secondary public offerings

  • Acquisitions, dispositions and mergers

  • Foreign issuer registration and filings

  • Developing and testing of internal controls over financial reporting
