Penny, a lawyer for 12 years, founded Bacchus Corporate and Securities Law ten years ago. As the owner and manager of Bacchus, Penny leads a team of ten legal professionals providing US and Canadian securities legal services. Penny has taken many companies public in the US and oversees all aspects of the going public process for her clients, from initial corporate structure through to listing on a senior exchange such as the NYSE Alternext. Her clients have operations in Europe, Africa, North America and Asia and include public companies in mineral exploration, oil and gas, oil and gas field services, alternate fuels and other sustainable energies, carbon reduction technologies, water purification, biotechnology, manufacturing, education and real estate. In the past few years, Penny has been the lead legal counsel for dozens of public companies, advising them on accessing US capital markets, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Penny has nine years of experience in serving as an executive in public companies. She has held the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Director, Vice President or Chairman in five public companies and has first hand experience of the challenges facing boards and management in the public company environment. She has also founded several private companies that successfully went public either through an IPO or merger. She also owns Bacchus Filings Inc. a company that provides EDGAR filing services to public companies.
